African descendants make up the largest ethnic population in Nova Scotia. They settled in 52 historic communities in Nova Scotia, including many who were freed slaves.

There are almost 14 million Mexicans of African descent in Mexico. Most of them live in the Mexcian states of Veracruz and Oaxaca.

The Aku are the smallest tribe in The Gambia but have had members who were highly influential in development of the country, as we know it today. The Aku account for less than 2% of the population in The Gambia.
